Bleached has been around since 2010… Although, it was only in 2017 that we launched our online shop. We are now exclusively an online retailer and do not have a physical retail store – alas… no more sitting in traffic!

Based in Johannesburg, South Africa we manufacture most of our products using reclaimed and recycled wood. We design and manufacture solid timber furniture and décor. All our products are handmade, not mass-produced and unique in every way possible. A lot of love and attention goes into each item we make. The true beauty, of course, comes from the history behind each piece of reclaimed wood – giving old wood, new life and purpose. No two pieces are ever alike. Isn’t that great? We firmly believe in supporting local small business. It creates jobs and empowers people such as our carpenters and employees. We are proudly South African and believe in trying our best to find locally sourced and made products and materials.
