Furniture orders may take between 3-4 weeks to complete.
Décor orders depend on stock availability. If stock is available, the order should be received within 3-10 working days. If the items are out of stock this may delay the order process by up to 3 weeks. For more information on specific items please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Where is 'Local pick up'?
Local pick up for Décor is in Weltevreden Park, and furniture collections are in Krugersdorp, Gauteng. For both options – please contact me directly via whatsapp to make arrangements for your collection
What if I don’t like minor cracks and holes that come with reclaimed wood?
Minor cracks and holes are unavoidable when using reclaimed wood. Holes and cracks can be filled and disguised in furniture items, however this is not possible with décor items. For a little more information please feel free to email any questions and we will get back to you to help answer any concerns or questions.
Are minor holes and cracks in cheese boards hygienic?
Wood is one of the most hygienic materials to use as a chopping or cheese board. Please see How do I take care of my wooden cheese/chopping board? For more information.
Will my order look exactly like the image displayed on this website?
Due to the handmade nature of all our products – all items ordered on this website may have slight variations and imperfections and will not ever look exactly the same as the image provided. Some differences that can be expected are; slight colour differences, slight size differences, slight cracks and nail holes due to the nature of the material used to manufacture the products.
How do I order custom designed furniture?
Please order any custom furniture via email. Send the following details to email@example.com: 1) Any image references to show style and colour of your requirements. 2) The size/s you require your item/s to be – Length, width and height. 3) Details such as drawers and shelves, for example. The rest of the orders communications will be dealt with via email and telephonically if need be.
How does delivery work outside of Gauteng?
Décor orders will commence as it would in Gauteng, however it may take 24-72 hours longer than 3-10 working days depending on the courier company used.
Rural areas, remote areas, farms and plots outside of regional towns, cities and metropole areas will incur a surcharge and calculated on checkout.
Furniture orders will need to be quoted for per order. Prices are worked out on volume and weight and depend on what has been ordered.
If a furniture order is sent and received outside of Gauteng, is damaged, Bleached reserves the right to commission an external handyman or carpenter to assist in the repair work. Repair work lead-times are out of the control of Bleached.
What days of the week do deliveries take place?
Deliveries take place Monday – Friday and do not include public holidays unless previously agreed upon. This applies to both furniture and décor.
How do I update my profile and contact details?
To update your email address or phone number, sign into “My Account”, click on “Profile”. Here you can update your personal information. When you are done click on the “Save Profile” button.
I have forgotten my password – Now what?
You can update your username or password by clicking on the “forgot password” link.
Can I cancel my order?
You may, in certain instances only, cancel your order. Cancellations on custom orders are subject to the discretion of Bleached and depend if production of your order has begun. Please phone +27829736199 for any cancellations and your enquiry will be dealt with individually.
Will I be charged two delivery fees if I order furniture and décor?
If you have a mixed basket of decor and furniture, the furniture delivery cost will apply only. This will however mean that you will wait until your furniture order is ready before receiving your décor order.
How much will it cost to return my order?
Returning your order to our factory is totally free. If you choose to return your merchandise using our Courier service, we will advise you on the estimated cost of the return when you are processing your return online, as the cost will vary depending on your location. We do not refund delivery costs, no matter how you chose to return your merchandise.
Is it safe to shop online at www.bleacheddecor.co.za?
Yes it is! We do not subscribe to any payment gateways as yet, and all payments are made via EFT and are controlled by you, the customer.

What happens if items are listed as ‘out of stock’?
We strive to maintain availability of all items/products listed on our online shop. However, due to the success of a particular item, it is possible that an item can be temporarily out of stock. Should this be the case, and you would still like to place the order, please send us an email to place your order and we will process your order manually. This will however mean, we will need to manufacture the item from scratch and the lead-time may take up to 3 weeks till delivery. Lead times vary – please enquire.
How do I shop on this online store?
You can brows our online store without logging in or creating an account. As soon as you would like to purchase something please either log into your account or register to create a new account.
Once you’ve found the item that you want, select your colour/size/value and click “Add to Basket” button. You can add multiple items to your shopping basket.
When you are ready to pay, scroll over the shopping trolley icon in the top right hand corner of the page. Select ‘View cart’ which will take you through to a new page that will show you everything you have in your bag, along with the colours/sizes you have selected. Please check your order is correct before selecting ‘proceed to check out’.
If you have a coupon or voucher that you would like to redeem, you will need to enter your coupon number in by clicking on the highlighted ‘click here to enter your code’ listed at the top of the page.
Once the coupon code has been entered, click the ‘APPLY COUPON’ and your shopping cart will be discounted.
Coupon codes should only be applied when you are ready to proceed to checkout.
Click on the “Place Order” button when you are ready to place your order
If you aren’t already signed into your account you’ll be prompted to sign in or register.
Once you have signed in you’ll see your shopping bag once again
Click on “Place my order”, enter your delivery address, select your delivery option.
Once you’ve placed your order, you will receive email confirmation of your order with our bank details and reference code required.”
How do I take care of my wooden cheese/chopping board?
Wash boards after each use in warm, soapy water. If you have chunks of food stuck on the surface or in nail hole, use a knife or kitchen scraper to remove most of it before washing.
Do not leave boards to soak! Do not wash wooden cutting boards in the dishwasher.
Dry thoroughly before storing. We suggest air-drying in the dish rack. If you do not dry your board properly, it may start to grow mould if not used regularly.
To remove odours, rub down with half a lemon or spray with some vinegar. This will also help sanitise the board.
You do not have to oil your board – but should you want to you may use any edible oil such a sunflower or olive oil. This will result in the board’s appearance turning darker in colour.
Keep your knives sharp. Dull knives mean that you have to press harder to cut, which will mark up your board.
